How should wound care be done?

2022-01-15
Wound care is an important step in the healing process, so what about wound care?

1. Remove the stimulus

Refers to the removal of irritants attached to wounds and skin surfaces. Necrotic tissue and infectious exudate adhering to the wound surface should be carefully removed at each dressing change to prevent it from becoming a foreign body that interferes with wound healing.

2. Remove necrotic tissue

Necrotic tissue is rich in nutrients such as protein, and is a good medium for the growth and reproduction of bacteria, which is easy to cause wound infection; in addition, its attachment to the wound surface can become a source of adverse stimulation, affecting the reconstruction and growth of capillary tubes, tissue granulation growth and epithelial regeneration, hindering wound healing.

3. Prevention and control of infection

It is necessary to clean the wound regularly to reduce the number of bacteria in the wound, and pay attention to wearing sterile gloves when changing dressings to prevent cross infection.

4. Provide a moist healing environment for wounds

According to the wound size, depth, color and amount of exudate, choose appropriate dressings to prevent microbial contamination and provide a hypoxic and moist healing environment for wound healing.

Carboxycin wound disinfectant for wound cleaning has a killing effect on Staphylococcus aureus, intestinal pathogenic bacteria, pathogenic yeast and common bacteria in hospital infections, and also has the effect of promoting healing of wounds.PREV:Dressings for wound care methods
